Free Image Enlarger

The image enlarger supports JPG (JPEG), PNG, and WebP formats. These cover the vast majority of images used on the web and in digital photography. You can enlarge up to 10 images at once in a single batch operation.

You can enlarge images by a custom scale factor between 1.1× and 8×. Common preset options include 1.5×, 2×, 3×, and 4×. Keep in mind that very large scale factors (6× or more) will magnify any existing imperfections or noise in the source image.

The tool uses bicubic interpolation to produce smooth, natural-looking enlargements. Enabling the sharpening option further improves edge clarity. Results are best when the source image is already reasonably sharp. Upscaling a very blurry image will still produce a larger – but blurry – result.

The sharpen option applies a convolution sharpening kernel to the enlarged image. This enhances the contrast at edges and fine details, counteracting the slight softness introduced by the bicubic interpolation algorithm. It is especially useful for photos with text, product edges, or architectural details.
